Prof. Dana Shapira
Dana Shapira is a staff member of the Computer Sciences Department at Ariel University. She received her doctorate from Bar Ilan University with the guidance of Prof. Tomi Klein. During the years 2001–2004 she did a post-doctoral at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, USA, with the guidance of Prof. Jim Storer.
Her areas of research focus mainly on data compression, data retrieval, and approximation algorithms; and recently she joined the Cyber Center in Ariel. She is a member of the Committee of the Central International Data Compression Conference that takes place once a year.
